About the Event
High School students from Tallahassee and across the state are convening on the Florida Capitol on Monday March 7th to protest the final Florida Senate vote on HB 1557 (the "Don't Say or Be LGBTQ+" in the Florida Classroom bill) and we need you to come support them.
Join Florida Coalition for Transgender Liberation and others supporting a grassroots youth movement.The day will start with a STUDENT-LED PRESS CONFERENCE on the steps of the Historic Capitol Building (facing Apalachee Parkway).
The youth will then hold a rally on the steps of the Historic Capitol Building (facing Apalachee Parkway) from 9:30 am until 10:30 am and may move inside to the 4th Floor Rotunda and/or courtyard when the Florida Senate convenes to hear HB 1557 on the Special Order calendar.
Come when you can and stay as long as you can. Please bring pride flags, wear pride colors and bring signs. If you have trouble finding us - as we might be inside or outside or mobile within the Capitol - please text 850-345-0018 for iniformation.
